When it comes to moving out of a rental property, the goal of end-of-tenancy cleaning is simple: return the property to the same level of cleanliness as when you first moved in. At Tig Five, we take pride in offering thorough, professional cleaning services, ensuring that every corner of your home is spotless and ready for the next tenant.

For a typical 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom property, our standard end-of-tenancy cleaning takes 9 hours of labor. For a 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom, it usually requires about 6 hours. Our cleaning checklist covers everything, from furniture and appliances to floors and vents, all the way to inspection and photo documentation. Please note that this timeframe does not include additional services such as carpet steam cleaning or garden maintenance. If your property is full of clutter or waste, extra time may be needed.

Why Do Some People Have Their Deposit Deducted When Moving Out?

  1. Irreversible damage: This includes things like broken walls, a damaged bed frame, or a malfunctioning fridge.

  2. Failure to meet cleanliness standards: Common issues include pet hair, accumulated clutter, or a moldy washing machine.

  3. Missing furniture or appliances: For instance, a chair or toaster that was provided by the landlord is no longer there.

  4. Unpaid utility bills: These should be cleared before moving out.

While our end-of-tenancy cleaning service typically addresses the second point—cleanliness issues—it won't resolve the other concerns.

What Evidence Do Agents and Landlords Use to Assess Property Condition?

The key evidence for evaluating the condition of the property lies in comparing the inventory list at move-in with the check-out report at move-out. Don’t worry if you didn’t receive an inventory list upon move-in. In the case of a dispute or arbitration, this could actually work in your favor.

At Tig Five, we follow a unique and detailed process for end-of-tenancy cleaning. Once the job is complete, we invite clients to come back for a final inspection. During this process, we also point out any potential damage we might notice, helping protect your deposit from being unfairly deducted.

We believe in providing thorough, transparent service, so your move-out experience is as stress-free as possible. Reach out to us today for more details on how we can help make your transition smooth and hassle-free!
